| Hello, I have "visited" this sight many times since June of 2014. Just after I got my 94 BRW in May. Its white with wood all stock and has the tow pack. Only had 117,000 miles no rust a true California car. It does have typical parking lot dings and some of the black side molding have come off (seams typical). It is now my DD and I love it! (That seam to be a common statement in this forum.) I grew up looking out the back window of a 1971 Malibu wagon. Had a 350 and was blue met with wood grain. Was moms DD until 1986. My brother had a small altercation with a large tree. He was fine, the twisted frame of the car sent it to its grave. Mom replaced it with a used 1985 Malibu wagon, the smaller pony with a V6, that she drove until 1997. Sold it with over 285000 miles. When I was in high school dad bought a 1957 210 2 door post wagon, a Handyman wagon, As a project that never took off. I Graduated high school in 1993 and thought the "new" wagons were awesome. Fast for ward 21 years; wife, 2 sons, job, ect. the family trips were taxing our 2001 Nissan Sentra 2.0. The wife really didn't want to do a SUV, and we were only looking at the mini vans for space, flexibility and fuel economy. They were out of our price range. Then I remembered the B-bodys and started looking. Showed pictures to the wife and she said they look like they have big butts. She wasn't impressed at first, I had to "sell" it to her. Not a mini van or SUV. Has space, flexibility and for its size fuel mileage. Has a higher towing capacity than any mini van. Most of all it was in our price range! I agreed to sell my DD 85 Nissan p.u. (after 16 years service) and she stated that if I was to buy one to go all out and find one with wood sides. That was the green light. After 2 months of looking I found the one. Priced a little high but, mileage and no rust, worth it. Not a show car, nice but wont get mad if the kids do kid thing in the car. I found this forum because I was looking for the golden unicorn a draw-tite 33007 the 2 inch hitch. I had NO idea that Reese had stopped making that hitch in 2011. I have spent hours online looking for one. Even looking for other cars for sale that had the hitch and contacting the sellers to see if I could BUY the hitch off the car they're selling. I offered one guy $200 for his. No takers. I bought a 1 1/4" hitch for a camp trip but I still want the 2". Just yesterday I saw beertastr post about his custom fab hitch. YEA! I will be in contact with him within the next day or 2 . My wife has come around to like the car but she insists that she will keep the Sentra and I get the wagon. We are planning more family tent camping for this summer. I need to tint the glass. I would love a set of American Racing Torque Thrust M in anthracite grey wrapped in 225/55R18. I know could go much wider but this is spot on the same diameter as the stock 215/75R15. I would also like to do a heavier front sway bar and add a rear sway. I'm not looking to autocross with it, just want to tame some body roll. I live were there are no straight roads. The upgrades will take a while due to funding but until then I will continue to drive "das Boat" with a smile on my face knowing this IS an awesome car! And a true 'Sleeper' thanks to the LT1 and fold down rear seats:) THANK YOU GM LONGROOF for being here. I have learned a few things from this place. I know I will learn more. Even if this is my only post. I am watching and reading. Thanks, Weston. | |

| You're hooked! It's already in your blood. With mom having two wagons when you were growing up, you were destined to have one of your own. You made the right choice. You're at the right place. This forum can answer any question you have about your wagon. The knowledge is second to none. Glad to see you've made it here. And, that won't be your only post. Paul | |

| put a crown vic rear sway bar on it, and some decent shocks,. you won't need a bigger front bar,. | |

| The lone suspension mod I have done to my wagon is adding a Ford rear bar, really tightens up the handling. The body sway without it was ridiculous. | |

| Great intro and welcome aboard.....The plans for a custom hitch are on this site (maybe a sticky?) I've seen them a bunch of times. you could print them out and take them to any welding shop and they could fab one up for you pretty quick. too. Ditto on the rear crown vic bar. If possible get the 21mm one threads here and on the impalassforum about mounting, etc. | |
