Just a note, I noticed rather by accident when doing leak testing after putting my cooling system back together that pressurizing and depressurizing the system (just as what happens when you run it, obviously) is very effective at getting the air out before you even fire the motor up. Makes getting the coolant level closer to normal before anything gets hot!

Also I found the leak wasn't from the coolant recovery tank as it appeared to be, it was in fact coming from the plastic tee. It actually split open along the seam.
