Good evening. I'm from Russia. I am the owner Chevrolet Caprice 1989. I need help. I can not find the original strips on the front and rear bumpers. The rest is no problem. Shop Rockauto helps. A couple of photos
That's how I saw it for the first time
With such prices in the delivery of any parcel joyful and long-awaited
I bought a donor.
Just in time.I got into an accident in the winter
Disassemble the donor. I buy and collect the missing

Looking great, I really like the wheels and hub caps you have one there I'd suggest welding up the rub strip mounts on the bumper and rechroming if possible. How hard is it to get a hold of a Chaika for export?

Welcome to the group and you did some great work repairing the wagon.I want to know how you posted all those pictures on your second posting? As far as the black bumper strips go,you will probably have to find something similar and make it work. You can make the strip fit well with very careful application of heat to mold it to the curves on your bumper.

thank you. I thought about it. But I want to make as close as possible to the original. Rechroming is very expensive. Cheaper to go to you to dismantle and to buy in good condition)) What interested? GAZ 13 or GAZ 14?

Nice wagon! Glad you could save it after the wreck too....good work! I like your old KY Plate too. I have one of those somewhere. HA!
You can always get one of these bumpers without the impact strip holes

Thank you. The work is still very much. Required bulkhead chassis, exhaust, brakes, motor.... Photo inserted normally, just with different sites. I learned about the manufacture of strips to order. Price - $ 1000 one. For this price it should store for a beer run))

It looks like the rear one is still available, but the front one is shown as "discontinued", which usually means they are no longer available. However, it is possible that there is still one or two hiding in the back of a warehouse somewhere. All you can do is try to add it to your cart and see what happens.

This post is not about Caprice. This my second car that I've wanted. And yesterday bought
Good condition of body, trim bad, bad salon. And engine 4.1..... It's not a bad motor, because it will make a good table)))

That 4.1 would make a REALLY cool table if you bead blasted it and got the aluminum to shine.
But as motors, they're definitely junk.
This is cool to see.

Flushed the tank, changed fuel pump, cleaned all the contacts, cut off the muffler full of water, and here it is!!!! Run, after 15 years of inactivity in the garden. Smokes because of flushing piston. After 10 minutes no smoke

Welcome aboard! Very nice wagon and love the picture of the car meet. I see quite alot of 90s b-bodies in the photo.
Another place you might try is a dealership called Hamilton Chevrolet. They are active on the Impalassforum.com for parts for the 'bubble' caprices and Impalas. He may be able to find the parts you are looking for. I will keep my eyes open for them in our local junkyard, but I don't see too many of the boxy wagons in there..

Not so long ago in my life, something remarkable happened. Friend and I went to Finland for the concert of AC/DC. Not going about this is to write a lot, this is a must see!
At the same time, we stopped at the store theme. And I bought the front springs on a Whim. I understand that for you it is easy and simple, and the order and wait a month, or a lot of money for shipping by plane. It's so not the case)

I think he means the Confederate Battle Flag license plate. "Stars and Bars" was actually the name of the first Confederate flag, which looks a lot more like the US "Stars and Stripes" than the Confederate Battle Flag. The confusion arises as both were associated with the Confederacy.

The VSS for a 4L60 (not e) uses a gear drive. The 4L60e uses a magnetic pickup. The computer for an engine with a 4L60e will take the input, and factor in the tires and gears (must be programmed) to give the engine and trans the proper information. If you have a 4L60 (not e), you need the correct gears for your gear and tire size. Most of them use an 18 tooth drive gear, and an appropriate driven gear for the tire/gear ratio. If you know the tire size and gear ratio, http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60i12.gif
If you choose to use a gear drive VSS, you have two choices. They come in 39 tooth or less, and 40 tooth and more. They input directly into the computer, and give you the required pulses per mile.
You can also get a pulse modifier to put between the VSS and the computer to modify the signal so that the pulse rate is optimized.

Make sure you understand the way to set the kickdown cable. If you do not do it right, you can fry the trans really quick.
