| Love the photos. Looks like you had a great turnout. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. My kids still speak fondly of swimming in the lake. Maybe one of these summers we'll take a road trip up there again. | |

| I'm sure many others will post more vehicle pics as they get home and get back to our respective computers. I'd like to concentrate this next group of photos on the people of Wagonfest instead. The Vehicles may be what bring us together initially, but ( at least for me) it's the people and their personalities that keep us here. We have a wonderful collection of truly good people here. So I'll start with the award winners. The "Long Distance" award was won by a family from, as they descibed it No(us)where Michigan. (The middle of nowhere...get it?) Won by Bill Angus (FrederickFlintstone) His car was easy to spot. It had holes in the floor boards for braking with his feet and a picnic basket filled with a prehistoric version of Slim Jim's, called "Has anybody seen Dino lately?" He beat out Andy Pitcher (andebe) from Indiana by about 30 miles. We a had a new category this year, "Shameless and Self Serving", won by the person who came up with the idea (What an amazing coincidence of karma!). If you've been reading the threads, you know the background and the sarcastic humor behind it. Actually it was the daily driver award, "Driven Hard and Put Away Wet" won by Don MacIntyre (donmac) from Canada. The "Best Interior" award might be best described as in the finest tradition of Wagonfest ballot box stuffing by a certain group of New England Wagonfestering folks. Jarrod Jacobs (1993 Roadyman) won. Jarrod is normally known for his exterior painting skills, but had to bring the backup ride this year. Check his thread for what magic he's been doing lately. From best interior, we go to "Best Exterior" won by a certain bright orange wagon from, oddly enough, Orangeville Ontario. Thank God he's not from Polkadot Pennsylvania The award was won by Nick (phantom 309) On a personal note I want to express my sincere thanks to Nick for his work and ideas to help me sort out Shammoo's rebuilt motor. The final Wagonfest award was for the vehicle voted best overall as the "Peoples Choice" It was won by John Simmons (motorhead79) There was one more award, given out by the Forum itself. The moderators and admin discussed the subject and gave it overwhelming support. The recipient is known for being all over the eastern seaboard sharing a cup of coffee and friendship everywhere he goes in his "NOTROD". He exemplifies the spirit of the forum. Therefore, be it known, that the GM Longroof Forum, for his dedicated service to this forum, does hereby recognize Tim Swink as our official Goodwill Ambassador, July 25 2015 in order, Tom, Jay, Tim, Mike, Pat, Dave So much for the awards , here's few others of interest. Rick went to the first Wagonfest held by Fred (ruphrax) and has returned to his past. He said his driving his wagon is like having a chick magnet. Here's proof. Friendship Photo evidence that the food wasn't that great. HEY! OH MAN! WHO CUT THE CHEESE! RUN FOR IT

I couldn't agree more, not that I'm taking away from Bill's Mod (94Woody-previous owner)

That's Tim's Wagon...he drives a lot. He installed that to keep him aware and awake on long drives. He wets his finger and sticks it in there. Its an extra electrical outlet. Anyone with a GPS would find one handy on that side of the dash.

| Just wanted to say what a great time my wife and I had coming to our first Wagon Fest. Everyone was great, with an extremely friendly atmosphere. My wife was impressed with the number of people who stopped by to check out our OCC. I joked with her that this was a family reunion of sorts...and if this car cant get any respect here, than it never will! After two years of being on the forum,it was nice to put faces with the names. We will definitely be back....Andy & Casey | |

| Yup I blew up my car getting to Daytona! haha. It's ok though, it just gave me an excuse to drink more since I could not drive anywhere! Accepting my "Most Flocked Up" award i was 3 sheets I'm pretty sure. haha.

| Looks like a fun time and great turn out. Good to see new blood and boxies in the mix. I remember that sport wagon showed up for the first time when I was there in 2010. It's a great car too. | |

| I have more, but need to upload to the server first before posting. Perhaps oddly, I did not see that many cameras in use this year. Tom's wife, Diane is noted for usually taking lots of them, but was unable to attend this year.
If you got 'em, post 'em | |

| Also, there's gonna be WagonFest Mid-Atlantic in Hershey, PA the first weekend in October.
On doing a Wagonfest Midwest in Speedway, IN I did some research to see if we could go to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and get onto the track, I did a little research to see what would have to be done and it appears that IMS doesn't allow such things.

awesome cars yall. I wanted an SS soooo bad, then I drove one, arrived at a hell of a deal and the whole ride home (was going to pick it up the next morning), I kept thinking, it drives just like my wagon but I can't carry my surfboards and camping gear in it..... Decided not to buy it and haven't looked back as I settled the sedan issue with a Fleetwood

One year a member came from "East Overshoe", British Columbia or the Northwest Territories. I don't remember exactly how many miles, but I want to say around 5,000. Another year, I received the long distance award, and I'm only 400 miles away. Tom
