"The Hershey Experience"

This event will be held at the Hershey Antique Automobile Museum.  It will be featured in their Newsletter with an invite for any local folks to join us as well.  

10:00 am - Arrival

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum

DUE TO THE WEATHER THERE IS A PLAN "B"

After gathering together at the museum, if the crowd is in agreement, plan B we will venture to City Island earlier than anticipated.  There is a parking garage that does not charge on the weekends and when no events are going on.  I anticipate that it will be an empty garage on Saturday.  Or a perfect place to get a bunch of old wagons out of the rain.  Unless we get pushed out we should be able to spend a good amount of time and clean the cars up a bit to show them off to one another.  Hopefully there will be enough light in the garage.  But at least we can have a dry sandwich. We may also be able to get good pictures from the roof of the garage down to a lower parking lot. From the garage we can pick up the agenda from where we left off and enjoy a nice meal at ABC

11:30 am - Lunch
* Mike has generously offered to bring his artisan breads and cold meats!!  BONUS!
* Bring your own chips/fruit/sides and drinks.
* I am sure some $$ to Mike to help offset his cost would be appreciated.
                       
12:30 pm - Museum tour for any or all that want to go.
* Of course the museum will be open all day so feel free to tour at will
* Cost is $9.50 per person for a tour that day
* An annual membership is $35 and gets you unlimited tours over the year and some other discounts
* A Family membership is $60 for up to 2 adults and 6 kids/grand kids

1:45 PM            - Possible group photo at museum
                          - if there is enough interest for approx $150 we can take
                             from a scissors lift - details to follow ( post interest below!!)
                          - I will need to know and have a deposit from everyone on or before 09 16 15
                            if this is something you want to do.
                          - I will need a volunteer with a good camera to take the picture.

2:00 pm (ish) - Leave for brief tour through Harrisburg to City Island for pictures.

Sounds like a good time. Getting plans for the trip finalized now.

If you have the liquid chocolate syrup, it it considered as having the "Hershey Squirts"?

Please note I need to know who would like to chip in for the group photo at the Museum!!! Will likely need deposits from everyone so we can reserve the scissors lift.

Looking like a fun time! I might be up for the group photo but cost dependent, I can't do more than $20-25. I have a good camera but no wide angle lense though it doesn't sound like that would be necessary.

It's $150 so if 10 cars it's $15 each. It looks like we're going to be closer to 15 cars so that would be $10 each. If everybody's up for it I'll tell him to reserve a scissors lift and get a ten dollar deposit from everybody.

Keep in mind we're going to try to get some pictures later in the day on city Island as well but not sure how well they will workout.

I also have a good digital SLR camera I can bring.

I am not sure I will have my 96 Bmw by then' however being a new member I will be in attendence at some point (beat 87 Ram Wagon for now.. I just moved and have had every intention of visiting the AACA exhibit since I lived in New Cumberland and now in Ship........I don't have enough posts for a pm yet but this is a shout out (to you BigBlackBeaSSt) PM me.

Man im glad to see were going for dinner at a neat place. The VA meet last year was very enjoyable save for that meal. driving 4-5 hours to eat cafeteria food was bewildering to me. I know why it was done but damn it was mediocre.

I have some 10x10 tents but might not be there right at 10. Did you get one yet?

I have a 12x12 EZ up that I will set up when I get there.

is to drive down there and burn the car for you,. i will supply the battery powered drill and the piece of cloth,.
and my own lighter,..

anything to help you out with this problem,..

Thanks Nick.  I'm very appreciative  of your offer. If I'm not home, my wife would gladly help you with the match.

 Your kindness speaks volumes about the friendship  and selflessness among our forum members, as well as international relations between out respective countries.

If the cloth and lighter doesn't work, remember to bring your own straw to suck out some gas.  I'd lend you mine, but you never know where my mouth has been.

See comment about battery powered drill,.  plastic gas tank is easy,..

dip one end of cloth into gas pouring out of hole,.light with lighter,. toss under car,. walk briskly in opposite direction,.

I have experience with this method,..it's always successful,.

Won't need the drill. I installed a drain plug years ago.

"Walk briskly"and get a better 1/4 et than Shammoo....
