| It is my honor to have been selected to be the "Wagon of the Month" for September. Above is my 1996 Buick Roadmaster Woody! My history with wagons goes back to early childhood when my parents bought a white Chevrolet Impala station wagon. It was a big step of from the old green Packard that my mother drove…you could see the road through the holes in the floor. In 1967 my parents bought a new Chevrolet Caprice white woody wagon with a 396. That car had vinyl seats, which my mother preferred over the cloth seats of the Impala as they cleaned easier, power windows, and A/C. It was a dream. Eventually all four of us kids learned to drive with that car and it eventually followed us to college. We called it the tank. It was heavy and near indestructible. I discovered Buick Roadmasters when my oldest son turned sixteen. I was researching big, safe, cars that were inexpensive and stumbled across a ten year old 1995 sedan with a big dent in the driver's side just forward of the door. As it was ten years old it was cheap. That car got all three of my kids through high school and beyond. I liked it so much that I bought a white 1996 soon thereafter and I still drive it ten years and 110,000 miles later. (continued) | |

| One day while studying the Buick Roadmaster Forum I was directed to this forum. Ever since my first roadmaster I wanted a wagon but I kept putting it off. It dawned on me that the one owner grandpa/grandma wagons were fast disappearing that I needed to find one fairly soon. I put the word out and a friend who lives in Florida found a sweet specimen that was rust free and had never experienced cold weather starts. Last December it became our third Roadmaster. The first one gave up the ghost but not before I stripped lots of parts from it. This car has needed some TLC but it is magnificent. Thank you to Buickwagon for the trailer hitch design… a local welder fabricated one and it works great. I love these Buicks as they were designed, as sweet comfortable rides. I rarely go over 2000 rpm or over 70 mph. I save fancy maneuvers and zooming for my gyroplane up in the air where I am safe from traffic. On the ground I drive like an old lady. (continued) | |

| Our latest acquisition is the adriatic blue 1995 Buick Roadmaster sedan. This car is also a Florida car. I purchased it from an estate. The husband died at age 90 and his wife followed a few years later at age 88. They bought the car new and it only had 54,000 miles when I got it. It is almost like new. My wife loves it. Thank you to everyone on the forum. I am not a mechanic and your help has been greatly appreciated. I couldn't drive these older cars without such a good resource. I have the FSM's but being able to ask questions helps immensely. | |

| Nice stable and thanks for sharing. Interestingly enough, I saw the James Bond Little Nelly from Thunderball yesterday in Miami at the Dezer collection (google if interested, it's an unimaginable colllection of vehicles). | |
