My brand new riveted lining shoes are now soaked with brake fluid due to having the wrong wheel cylinders. Anybody know a good method to clean the shoes? I have already bought replacements , I just hate to throw the first set away. Sad

You could try brake cleaner but they may be done for. Brake shoes are cheap enough anyway

After some thought I have decided that it's not worth the risk . The shoes only cost $18.99 plus tax. I will throw the soaked ones away as soon as I get home this evening.
