One of the issues in my '94 Caprice was that it would drain the battery in a few days. Since it's been languishing on the side of my house for 5 years since the fuel pump died, I hadn't thought too much about it until I put a battery back in it to move it to a shop.

Here's the issue: Connect battery, everything seems normal. Open door, lights go on. Close door, lights STAY ON.

If I turn the key to the on position, lights go out. Turn it off, they stay out. Open door to get out....see above.

Not practical to leave the window open to get the lights out.....

Any ideas where to start looking?

John

I had similar strange things with my RMW; interior lights staying on, tail lights staying on. It happened sometimes, not all the time. Changed the chime box and it cured the problem.

Will give it a try. Wonder if they are the same tbi to LT1 car (chime box that is), as it would cost me nothing to try if they are...

I believe they are the same, just different locations.
