I need to swap out the c-pillar cover on a 1996 Caprice wagon. I ran a search of the forum and found nada. Once I have the rear seatback and cushion out of the car, what's the sequence of operations for removal and replacement? Any reference documents, videos, or pictures the process? Any special tools required? Tips? Hints?

An FSM would have the instructions. You may have to remove the cargo floor to get it out. You should not need any special tools, but it is wedged in there pretty good. You will have to remove the speaker panel, and maybe the support panel for the speaker panel. You will also have to remove the seat belt upper anchor, or at least the igloo. The igloo is difficult to remove without breaking it. as is the seat belt bezel on the speaker cover panel. The seatbelt requires a TORX 50. The rest is either a 7mm socket, or a body panel tool. If you drop something behind the C pillar cover, it will usually be retrievable through the black vent on the door opening. The top push fastener is always difficult to get lined up with the hole, so be careful installing the replacement.
