| I know Sprocket runs it...but I just just got confirmation from Rick that the Spring Turkey Run will be held March 24-26th. I did talk to Sprocket today (more like FB Messaged) and he did say he would have the Fest during the same time. So mark your calendars!! I already put a big 'ol blackout for weddings on that weekend. Lol | |

| Waiting on word back from the host hotel. She "expects" the same cost as last year.
I will let everyone know as soon as I get word back.

| It's not quite THAT close. It's outside of our LMA. You'd want to reach out to Jon Hall for that one... | |

| If everybody liked the steaks last year, we can do it again. We need a little bit more planning for the side dishes.
Sprocket, are you going to bring a working grill?

| It was a little on the small side. Three that size would work. | |

| Unlike last year, Easter is nowhere near this Wagonfest, so hopefully our attendance will be better. Plus, hopefully this year we will actually have more wagons (Ray, are you listening?) | |

Considering it's been sidelined for two years. Yes. Very. Block, crank, and heads are at the machine shop now. Hoping to be turnkey by Veterans Day.

| To be clear, it's not my show or meeting or BBQ.....it's OURS. I'm merely a contributor. And by that I am open to all suggestions about changes, improvements, what not.
THese are all suggestions that have been made over the past year: 1. Get rid of the silly awards 2. Plan the Sat night dinner at a restaurant right after 5 so locals that have to drive home don't have to wait for hours. 3. Rent a few of the slabs where the impala guys have been for the past two years (yes, it's true we have been splitting ourselves up).
The slab idea is good, except we never know how many we will have, and would had to exclude as they only let 4 cars per slab (I think). I think last year was an anomaly with Easter and it'll be back up around 20 or so cars again this year. It's a mixed feeling for me as mentioned I don't want to exclude, but I do enjoy the company of those guys too as I've know some of them for 10 years now....
Again, I'm wide open for suggestions, etc. so let them fly.
Hopefully, I'll have a wagon on the road by then (I better!)

| I do not mind cooking steaks earlier if we can get a bit more organized.
I think the awards are fine, but the flamingos tend to gather a lot of dust.
How much does it cost tor rent the "slabs", and where are they? I do not remember any Impalas on "slabs" last year.

| The question nobody is asking is "why did they move? Did they move AWAY from us? Last I remember, they were not happy that we outnumbered them. | |

| It was weird that the group was split last time I was there (2015)...the slabless and the slabs.
What's the scoop?

| the slabs are like 25 bucks or something and you can put 4 cars on one, so it's not alot of extra money. I see the problem is say you get 3 or 4 slabs and then more people show up. Is it then fair to them to be pushed off in the corner? Sure it's nicer over there/closer to the action, and a couple of the wagon folk do hang with them, I don't think it's because of and us and them mentality. Tim and Ivan are serious car show guys and spend hours prepping their cars to show and have collections of trophies to show for their efforts. Especially with Tim in a scooter as he can't walk long distances it works better for him and that's fine.
All that said, I like the slab and have been invited over there the past few years, but as mentioned, don't want to leave anyone out of the fun, so I park by the fence as usual.

| Well, I'm up for whatever the masses want. I liked being on the outside because you can come and go as you want....set up an EZup....I go to see the wagon peeps and their cars. The Daytona show itself does not draw me as I've never really walked around much. I get my fill at the Charlotte AutoFair.
