| The other day while driving back home I decided to drive down a road towards my house that I had been avoiding due to some construction. I was driving me truck and was a bit curious to see how far along it came. Anyways, I spot out of the corner of my eye at an old auto shop that I am pretty sure closed down years ago a tan RMW covered in dirt (probably from the construction) with no plates. I turn around and go have a look at it. Its a 96 limited with 156k, tan interrior. The body is in excellent shape, except for the driver's rear quarter is extremely rusted out, but the passenger is perfect. The belt line trim was hanging off the car onto the ground, so had to be there for some time. The interrior is in ok shape, carpet is a mess, seats are worn, but nothing terrible. I left my name and number on the window and the door to the shop, now wait to see if anyone calls. Knowing nothing about this car, what would one of you guys offer for it? Assuming it needs either a tranny or an engine? | |

| I'm guessing there is more wrong than the rear fender rot. Being a northeast car the brake lines and/or gas lines may be shot. The engine and tranny may be fine. You will have to get more info.
First impression $500 to $600 if running. I bought one similar with a bad OPTI for $400 and the body was better (at least on the outside).

| $500 tops, IF it runs. Can just imagine what it looks like behind that quarter panel, lol. | |

| Yep, I would say $500-600 too. Would make a great parts wagon and worth that just in parts to keep your other wagons in shape. | |

| Inspect it first / talk with the owner. It's been parked there for a reason. Could even be no title? | |

| My first thought would be around $500 too. But, as mentioned, you still want to look it over.
I have a 93 Roady with both quarters just like that. But the rest is southern car rust free. So don't write it off just for the quarters. But do look it over. | |

| I agree with the others. tops 600 unless it runs well. there was a guy locally here in FL last week with a 94, 155K for 800 bucks, all working. car was listed on CL for about 3hrs and was sold, and I didn't get it..... | |
