My 96 RMW climate system won't blow to the floor even when it shows it is in that position. Is this a concern except to me? Any idea of likely cause?

That won't do anything. The problem will be vacuum. That's what controls the movement of the blend door. Follow the vacuum, find the problem. Pull the HVAC head, find the feed line. Test it. Then, test the line that goes to the blend door actuator. A line is broken, leaking, or disconnected. Or... the HVAC head itself is defective. Borrow one to test...

The blend door does not direct air to the floor. The temperature air valve (blend door) is electrically operated. The "mode" valve directs the air flow to the required port, and is a vacuum operated valve having two hoses. It is the only one that has two hoses. The mode valve is located along the bottom of the plenum to the left.

Thanx to all. My wife will thank you more. Nothing worse than a wife with hot feet.
