| Sunday Drive east of Austin Tx with the kiddos, dodging spring storms and horror movie houses. Instead of going West into the Hill Country, yesterday we drove East, and Eddie, Tuck and his friend Sabre and I went out through the farmland/ranchland to take pics in front of the Hewitt House, where two of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies were filmed. The young kids, who of course have not SEEN these films, were not impressed. Ha! While on this run, we were surrounded by big storms, with some AMAZING skies. We managed to avoid the big weather, let the kids jump in the South San Gabriel River, and the only damage to the Roadmaster was the left-rear window slider failed putting the windows up... I think that's the last door that doesn't have the updated sliders...oh well...I know how to fix that. Always fun to pick random back-roads and go see some of the countryside. And to take the run in the Roadmaster! -Texas Mike | |
