| Hi... just picked up a 92 Caprice wagon today. It's in pretty decent shape except for rear quarters being pretty rusty. Also the spare tire well is in poor condition. Can anyone tell me where I can get replacement quarters for reasonable $$$, or alternatively a good way to patch them up? | |

| You should add your location to identify where you are. You can only get them from a junk yard. You can drill out the spot welds, and remove the whole quarter panel up to the roof line, or cut the section off of the bottom up to, and including about one inch above the trim line. Then weld them in place. There is a thread on that https://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t13496-cutting-off-a-spare-tire-well.If you can not get the part in suitable condition where you are, there are some people who will cut them for you for a price, and ship them to you. Depending on the size of the panel(s), FEDEX or Greyhound are your best options. The part must be boxed for FEDEX, and can be shrink wrapped and taped over any sharp edges for Greyhound. A cardboard cover for the cut edges is a recommended for Greyhound. | |
