Parked my RMW, last month and the blower kept running after I turned the key off. No biggie, I think, likely just a sticking relay. Go under on dash, check on rockauto, and realize that my 'auto-hvac' option that I'm not fond of, requires a $100 module! I had to think about that, but 2 days later I cave, and order the part. Swap it in, and in looking at the old one sitting on my toolbox...just 2 screws holding on the 'connector face', and 2 more screws holding on a large heat sink, and the only other part is a little box with terminals sticking out of it. I google the number stamped on it 'stk6994jc' if my memory is correct. Hmm, seems like a fairly common IC chip. So I go on eBay, gamble $14 (shipped slow boat from china). I cleaned up the heat sink a lil bit, smear on some 'heat transfer paste'...plug it in and it works exactly like the $100 module I just bought! I'm not sleazy enough to attempt to return my $100 purchase after using it for 3 weeks, so I'll toss it on the shelf.
I've gleaned a ton of good info off this site, just wanted to give back.

I looked on ebay, and the only part number I found is stk6994jh. I assume that is the correct part, because it looks the same.

So today i realize I'm the Christopher Columbus of cheap module repair. I thought 'I' discovered something new, but it's just new to me. Other GM forums mention this repair.
