| Looking for red leather front and rear seat and seatbacks for 1996 Caprice wagon (94 or 95 would work, yes?). Praying for excellent condition, but let's see what's out there. If you're within 500 miles, I'll come get them.
Does anyone know if it's possible to swap the leather seat and seatback covers for the cloth, or is it necessary (and perhaps easier) to replace them as assembled units?

Find yourself a set of Roadmaster wagon seats---much better quality leather. That's what I did for my Caprice, only in cloth and non limited seats.
I would change the seats not just the covers...a lot easier. Either set of leather seats will take some searching.

| Are the sedan front seats the same as the wagon in the Roadmaster?

| I ran Roadmaster non-limited leather in my Caprice. Actually bought the rear seat from Tom back in the day at WF! The best choice for a Caprice, for sure. So much better than the stock seats. | |

| The red you are looking for came in both the RM and Caprice from 93-96. The seats will all bolt up to the rails, so going through the skin swap is a useless endeavor. Sometimes the passenger's seat on the RMs has a power recline. | |

| Not for me, but very interesting if you could find the front and rear in red leather; assuming the rear could be adapted to fit. | |

| You can't actually swap the skins, the seat foams are totally different. The non-lim RM seats are actually much closer to SS seats than Caprice. | |

| The swapping of seat skins by the OP is for Caprice to Caprice. The RMs are as swap of the entire seat. It is obvious that the RM seat skins will not fit the Caprice frame. Olds seats are the same shape as the Caprice seats, although the colors are not the same as the newer seats, but it still does not "pay" to swap seat skins, if the whole seat is available. | |

| Bump to the top. I'm still looking. Best solution for me would be ruby non-limited Roadmaster seats. Sedan seats are fine for the front, but I'd prefer the wagon rear for cargo hauling aspects (folds down completely).
If you are within a days drive of Geneva, NY, I'll come get them. If not, I'll find a way to get them here by other means. | |

| Got'm! And thank you very much Tom (silverforx103) for the lead on the Daggy Wagon in Kennebunkport with a perfect set of limited ruby seats. This coincided perfectly with a trip to visit family in RI, so Maine was on the way...sort of. The seats came with a free car! A 1994 DCM with 88K on the clock and minimal rust. Unfortunately, the exterior condition is, umm...well, that's why it was cheap. To me it looks like it has been pecked and scratched by giant chickens. The owner hit a deer and then drove off into the puckerbrush on the side of I-95. Now all I need to do it get it back to Geneva. | |
