| As the Spring Turkey run in Daytona is always the 4th weekend of March, that would make it March 22-24, 2019. This is a conflict for me personally as the GMC motorhome national meet starts the same day in Tallahassee, FL (it is usually in the Midwest or Arizona so to have it this close I can't miss it).
What does that mean? Someone else needs to pick up the ball and run with it. The hotel is more or less on auto pilot, Robert K. usually calls and sets that up. If someone wants to borrow the grille, that's fine, but they will have to arrange with me to get it/return it. The rest can be discussed with whomever wants to grab the steering wheel and drive the rest of it.
Honestly, it's not a ton of work, but there is work involved. We have kept it as simple as possible so it didn't become a chore. On the one hand, I'm annoyed as my wagon is finally able to make it lol, but 150+ GMCs is not something I want to miss when it's a days drive from home either, and I've gone to Spring show for the last 10 years in a row...

| There is a very long shot that I may still make at least the Friday night Parking lot Shenanigans as a stop over on my way to Tallahassee... | |

Yes it does. We should go and say "Look, it's the EM50" every time we walk up to one. I bet we're thrown out by the 5th one, lol.

| If all the wagoneers did the motorhome thing,. Then they would have to change the name of the daytona meet, it'd be just the spring daytona run,.. | |

| it's 4hrs between the two, and at least 200 miles out of the way for all but one or two of the folks coming from the FL Panhandle. The motorhome crowd for the most part is more around their late 60s-80s so there aren't any campground burnout contests for folks like us.
I thought about overnighting Friday at the WF hotel, but Daytona Beach laws prohibit me sleeping in the MH in a parking lot, (makes sense around race time). Paying for a hotel when I have my house with me seems crazy too (esp for 110 a night). So haven't worked it out yet.

| Who would know you were sleeping in the MH unless you farted really loud. | |

They not only allow but encourage overnighting in their parking lots. Just go in for a meal and check with the manager. Bill

lights on after dark. But I think it's more like overnight parking. From what I read online from RVers they are no tolerance in the area, esp by the track.
