Hi All!
Went to the really good cruise-in and car show held every Saturday night at the intersection of 1431 and 183a behind Carl Jr's in Cedar Park Texas.
BEST time I've ever had there. Normally when I go my car gets some looks and comments about how clean it is, but tonight I had the Vette fuel rail covers on for the first time, and it caused a HUGE stir. Was AWESOME. The Corvette guys let me park by them, and I sat across the row from my car and REALLY enjoyed watching the reactions the RMW got.
Here's the picture...happened with teenagers to older guys and everyone in between. They would be walking along looking at the Vettes and then would look at my car....walk by the open hood...walk a few steps further...stop, look back, walk back, stare at the engine, point, walk around the engine, walk around the entire car, call their friends over, and take pictures. Happened again and again, was so much fun to watch.
I talked to quite a few people who were SURE I'd swapped the engine in there. One guy told me my car was THE MOST AWESOME THING HE'D EVER SEEN. Ahahahahahaha. I was asked to start the car numerous times so people could hear it. I'm telling you it was REALLY fun.
Walked all over and got some good pics too. See below. Really nice mix of cars, and a really nice evening. My favorite was the brand new white ZR1 Corvette. It was AMAZING, and when the guy started it, it about gave you goosebumps. There was also a really pretty Buick Grand National that was for sale. Always loved those. Sadly, NOT ONE Impala SS tonight, and no wagons of course.
If any of you are ever in Austin on a Saturday, please drop by. Lots of neat cars and nice people. Enjoy the pics!
