| Well I didn't get to go yarding today, or go look at that Parisienne wagon, but after doing housework all day my wife gave me a pass and my kiddo and I went to the Cedar Park car show. It was really warm here today, near 80 degrees, but clouds rolled in this evening and cooled it back into the lower 70's. So sorry in advance, no Roadmaster pics, we popped off the T-tops and took the Cutlass Supreme. Awesome evening for it too. With the warm weather LOTS of cars came out, and I let my son run wild with the camera, so LOTS of pics here. My 8-year old took most of them. Some are pretty dark, but you get the idea! Hope you like them! How about a Fairlane 500 Skyliner? Gorgeous!! The Camaros were out too Clean inline 6-cyl Ford Truck Gorgeous T-Bird and my Cutlass Mustangs were out in force! Hot Marauder was there again Golden Oldies! This 53 Olds Ninety-Eight convertible was SO SHARP Caddy V-LS1 powered Willys...WOW Some REALLY nice Chevelles showed up too Some really sharp trucks too This F100 was insane. Supercharged GM 350, hydraulic tilt front...he opened it from INSIDE the truck. Too many mods to list. The Dart 340 was there My buddy Doc was there in his funny Maverick Grabber. Cleanest Maverick you'll ever see The ONE TIME I don't bring the wagon and an LT1 Roadmaster sedan shows up! One of the last Pontiacs, a Solstice Coupe/Targa showed up Wild Monte Carlo with swivel seats 2004 GTO AWESOME Ford GT This was funny, a Mirage Turbo with an Eclipse Turbo engine. Sounded wild. Sleeper! F-Bodies Supercharged 70 Challenger R/T And my Cutlass as we leave...nice evening! - Mike | |

| Geez Mike.... I wish you guys'd taken more pics. I don't quite feel like I was there.... So was your buddy's Maverick a "longhorn" edition? And who's signature was that on the GT40? I could so drive one of those green mustang bullitt's. So long as it didn't have a spoiler. Maybe I'll try one of those next. | |

| The Ford GT has signatures ALL OVER the engine bay. The owner invited all the factory workers that built the car to sign it. Plus he gets celetrities at events and shows to sign it. There are signatures everywhere. Not sure if that helps the value of the car but it makes for interesting conversation. The owner is a bigshot and has taken the car on the track at Texas World Speedway and done the Texas Mile with it. Must be nice to have money.
The two best sigs were Carroll Shelby and John Moss.
The Maverick is actually a base car Doc found locally that was "little old lady" owned. It has less than 50K miles on it. He added the Grabber hood, wheels, and spoiler, and installed correct buckets and console. The car is spotless. Did you know Mavericks were so cheap they didn't have glove boxes? No joke, he loves to point that out.
Good story on the Mustang Bullitt, the guy that owns that green one also has a 96 Impala SS that he promised to bring to the cruise-in next weekend.
LOTs of cool cars last night. That blown 70 Challenger R/T is in NO WAY street legal...have no idea how he's got tags on it. It's so loud you can hear it from a mile away and has such a big cam it barely runs. He was running race gas, you about tear up when he passes you, but I'm sure that sucker flies.
The blue flamed F-100 was awesome too. And the 53 Olds was so sharp. Also that orange 69 Chevelle was like a show car...too bad it was an automatic.
I always look forward to the Saturday cruise-ins. You never know what will show up.
As for all the pics, Eddie takes after his Dad and loves his digital camera. You sitting down......? In the three hours we were at the meet Eddie took 221 pics. Hahahahaha! The ones I posted were the best.

| Found out a friend yanked a 403 out of his 79 Trans Am to put a 455 in it. He said the 403 still ran fine, he just got a deal on the 455. The 403 is under a tarp in his garage....
I haven't bought it yet....but that sure would be an easy weekend swap. | |
