| So the PO I guess managed to jam the power antenna down into the hole and get a connection for the radio. It lasted about 1000 miles then I noticed the antenna moving while I was driving. I touched it and it flopped over... the cable is still attached but the mast is broken. If I push it in and hold it I get radio, but as soon as I let it go it's all static.
Any ideas of a short term fix? I have a good power antenna somewhere in my garage, but no time to dig for it right now. | |

| Changing out an antenna is not fun but not rocker-science either. You can get a used antenna on Ebay, from a Salvage Yard, or keep in mind the Impala SS used the same antenna and there is a HUGE following for those cars, and lots of Online and Facebook pages dedicated to those cars, so this is a somewhat common part even after all these years.
Best of luck!

| Use CDs or an iPod or such other device. I stopped listening to “free” radio long ago. Nothing but commercials anyways. Not to mention there is squat for good radio stations around here. | |

| Get out the BFH and give it a whack. If that does not fix it use a BiggerFH...if it breaks it needed replaced anyway. | |

| The kit does not include an OEM antenna. If you want the OEM antenna you need the OEM mast, and/or the cable, with a good power unit motor. | |
