| I'm trying to correct a stupid mistake. I tired to jump the two terminals on my OBD1 port to read the flashes for a code cut mistook the port on the left for the OBD1 port. Of course I got no response but whatever that jump did was create a no crank situation.
Can someone tell me what this port is used for and possibly speculate on what damage was created by jumping the two ports on the upper right with a paper clip?
I've checked all the fuses and they are all good. Everything seems normal when I turn the key to run but when I turn it to start there is no crank.
Thanks in advance for being patient of a dummy. | |

| Some sort of aftermarket item. Definitely not factory. | |

| Looks like an aftermarket security system. No telling what that did to it. | |

| Thanks fellows! That's what I needed to know, aftermarket. I pulled it down and followed the wires and it was interrupting a 12 ga. wire in a loom so I cut it out and reconnected the interupted wire and everything seems fine now. Cranked right up.
Thanks again! | |
