not many out there with under 10K miles though. Honestly, if it is bought for daily use, going to take some $$ to set it right. I bought a 70K car this year and it has been a PITA with electrical issues from sitting.

That's a 26-yr old car that has spent a lot of time sitting. Great as a museum piece, but would likely keep you just as busy fixing stuff as a 100,000-miler if you wanted to drive anywhere.

You don't drive the odometer.

Don't get me wrong: it's in drop-dead gorgeous cosmetic condition. I really enjoy driving these cars. Fixing stuff on the roadside...meh...not so much. These are extremely durable cars, but they are also attention-whores, and I always travel with a basic tool kit and some key spare parts.

I do the same Dave with tools and parts. But the one time I did brake down, I didn't have a spare transmission, 700 miles from home. It rode the flatbed home and we rented a car.

Wimp! Easy roadside repair. Drop a few small spruce for levers, whittle a few new parts out of pine, a roll of duct tape, piss in the dipstick tube, and she's done.
