I occasionally write articles for the website Curbside Classic and thought some of you may be interested in my latest one. It's based on the 1991 OCC I found at a used car dealer and posted here in the Craigslist/Real Life Finds section back in May. Article covers history of Olds wagons and specifically the whale generation wagons and a close up look at this nice survivor OCC. Oldsmobile wagons definitely have a storied past. My favorite was the mid sized Vista Cruiser of the early 70's; followed by the mid 70's Custom Cruiser. Dealers were selling them at below cost, as you couldn't give those things away. This was during the years that we had gas shortages. No one wanted a car that got 8 to 10 MPG. I guess that opened the door for Japanese imports.
