Oldsmobile wagons definitely have a storied past. My favorite was the mid sized Vista Cruiser of the early 70's; followed by the mid 70's Custom Cruiser. Dealers were selling them at below cost, as you couldn't give those things away. This was during the years that we had gas shortages. No one wanted a car that got 8 to 10 MPG. I guess that opened the door for Japanese imports.
