| http://austin.craigslist.org/ctd/1915024048.htmlWent over and looked at this car in the daylight. It's actually a pretty clean car and the price is more than fair. Paint all looks original, has some slight lightness on the bumpers (Texas sun) and could use a wax job, but still has gloss. ZERO rust and no glaring signs of accident damage. No peeling anywhere, not even the roof. Underside is CLEAN. Check out the pic I took under the rear bumper. NO RUST at all. God Bless Texas! Also the underhood is well above average. Ok so let's nit-pick it! As for damage/wear, there is a shallow dent in the hood that makes me think a bike or something was stored over it in a garage and got dropped on it. Took a pic up close. The passenger side rear lower chrome molding is dented and has come off two of it's clips above the wheel-well there. There were some dents in the other chrome trim pieces from parking lots....just like mine. The passenger side door mirror also has a scratch. It's missing the black trim on the drivers side door chrome, and some of the other trim is ready for fresh 3M double-stick tape. I'd also replace the plasti-chrome above the front bumper black trim, like I did on mine. The woodgrain is in really nice shape. You can tell the car was garaged. The trim around it is just starting to delaminate here and there but is tons better than mine was when I started. On the inside, the steering wheel has the usual wear on it on the rubber part and needs to be re-dyed (light colors REALLY show this...the wear on my dark red wheel is not so glaring), but the leather on the wheel was fine. The outer bolsters of the drivers seatback have some light wear, as does the carpet to the left of the floor mat...just like on my car. The front arm rests are a little sun-warped on the doors. I only had one like that on my car and have replaced it. Kinda weird how these all have the same issues. Lots on it reminded me of mine when I bought it...but actually this one is in slightly better shape than what I started with...just more miles on this one...but it's an LT1 so miles are not a big issue. The interior is actually really nice. Door panels and dash are clean, carpet and seat leather is well above average. Doors all line up, hood popped easy, has the 96-only silver-trimmed Buick mag wheels and Collector's Edition hood emblem. Tires are ok, oil and trans fluid was clean and coolant was full. All in all a nice car that just needs some detailing to make it a REALLY nice car. Neat to find one locally! Took lots of pics. Enjoy! -Mike | |

| Wow, that car is clean. Unlike broke, I hate LDM. Well, perhaps hate is a strong word. Let's just say that it is lower on the list. | |

| That underside is slightly cleaner than the miami wagon Fred sold me back in 2005. I second your statement - God Bless Texas!
If mine were on its last legs right now, I'd be on a plane to Texas. | |

| I wish I could buy it myself, but divorce scares me.
I'm itching to detail it out. With a few trips to the Pick-N-Pull yards and some elbow grease that car could be really sharp!
I wish it was under 100K miles. At 130K it still feels solid but who knows if the a/c or transmission have been done yet.
Still a fair price. Oh and just an FYI, the dealer's name is Gary Devito and he's a bit of a butthead. When I made it clear I was not buying the car myself but was just taking pics to post to our group he went from "Mr Nice Guy" to "You're taking away from my lunch".
If anyone calls him just be prepared. He's a true used car dealer.....if you get my drift.
