Selling my 1995 Caprice. A lot to be said about it, but basically a time-capsule as a family truckster, then converted to a 6-speed several years ago by myself.
180k miles, T56, stock LT1 but tuned for manual transmission, EGR delete etc. Rear diff rebuilt to 4.30’s with an Eaton TrueTrac limited slip, super dark tint, S10 console between the cut-down 60/40 front seat. Z/28 gauge cluster from a impalaSS forums vendor with repainted needles etc. Stock manifolds, I believe even factory GM mufflers. Nice and quiet to drive.
Resurfaced flywheel, 1994+ trans, new clutch, slave, clutch master, tubular crossmember, billet adapter block for the F-body pedals. New radiator, alternator, optispark, AC components & o-rings (ice cold AC), optima red top battery, new heater core bypass tube, full set of stainless pre-bent brake lines, new drums and shoes.
Comes with some paperwork from the previous owner, window sticker, some spare hubcaps, a trailer hitch kit from one of our vendors I never assembled, a full-size original alloy spare tire, and the audio cassette of the owners manual.
New headliner, some redone rear carpet from a paint spill. Seats and door panels in excellent condition, window rollers replaced (most of them).
South Carolina car, and almost 0 rust, including the spare tire well.
The car isn’t perfect but is a fun reliable driver, the way GM should have done it. Cruise and rear hatch pop don’t work, as I think the computer doesn’t know if the car is in park or drive, rear wiper is intermittent and disconnected. Original wood grain trim is excellent except the tailgate, which shows cracks. Paint is 90’s GM quality. All original glass, and comes with an older set of Thule bike racks.
Turns heads, starts conversations, a blast to drive.
I’ve owned it 5years, stored in a heated garage all winter, and only seen rain when I was caught accidentally.
