| Anybody in need of parts for a Caprice? I have aquired a 1995 B4U with the towing package and other goodies. It is DGGM with grey interior. The car will be parted out so if anyone needs someting let me know and I will see what condition it is in, plus I am keeping some parts myself.
The headlights are missing and the rear window is busted out. I have covered the opening to keep out water. The body is in very good shape minus the dented driver fender. The quarters and such are SOLID.
If the car had a clear title(junked) I would fix the couple problems it has and drive it.

| The cars runs fine, check engine light is on and it stumbles a bit. Gonna pull codes today and drive it around the block to check shifting. Gonna get it in the garge on stands to check it out underneath and such. Will snag a few pics while I am at it. The interior is dirty but the seats are in good condition. Was gonna keep the driveline but may sell it anyways to finance more wagon stuff It has posi and that will be going into the wagon if it looks well enough. | |

| Ok, I got the car in and went over the engine and such and it has a MASSIVE oil leak from the filter area, of course. Saw the MAF was unplugged and plugged it up, CEL went out and the rough idle cleared up for the most part. A good tuneup since the opti and stuff looks original and it probably has a bit of life left. Though it appears to be very sludgy inside, the odometer came on and it has 153,xxx on it. Haven't decided if I am gonna sell the engine/trans yet though.
The seats and other stuff are in great shape. Headliner and carpet are toast and the dash pad is cracked and sun bleached.
When I got under the car though I almost cried because I am gonna tear it apart. Aside from the usual spots on the fuel tank supports and and a couple of small lines on the front floors the underbelly is rust free. I have never seen one this clean, the frame rails and such are of course rusty brown but nothing major.
Problem is the cars title has been junked and I'm not sure I wanna go through the ordeal of trying to get it turned into a salvage or rebuilt title. Plus my wagon can use the GM parts in place of it's cheapies in the front.

| PM replied.
Ok,
The rolling frame/body shell has been paid for so I have to get busy stripping this thing down.
The driver window switch, pass vent window and a couple other minor parts are in th process of selling. The engine/trans/wiring/PCM etc was sold in a package deal. Tail lights, mmirrors and some other parts have dibs just waiting to see if they wanna pay.
Still have the doors, fender, trunk, hood, etc and they are in great shape. The hood is flawless and may get painted white and put on my wagon if it doesn't sell. Front bumper cover has a claim on it though. I also have the seats, they are full power and just need a cleaning. Bummer shipping this stuff would be such a hassle cause I will be stuck with it most likely.
Once the car is down I will list items seperately.

| Do you have any of the clips that hold in the rear plastic pieces in (where the spare tire is and the other side), passenger side seat belt, and a dome light lens (someone spray tinted mine black) | |

| Here is the seatbelt. It is in good shape but needs cleaned. It retracts well on its own but not 100%. The buckle part has good plastic but it has been tucked down for a couple of years at least. I'll take $5 for it, shipping depends on your location. | |

| The interior plastic has been pulled out. Leaving the seats cause they do not match on the front and the rear has a cig burn in it. I pulled the pass side tracks and motors since my wagons are dead. Probably gonna grab the drivers as well. Amazingly I only sold 1 part so far, aside from the frame and body shell. The trunk and tails are going on my sedan as well as grille. I will be keeping doors, hood, rad support, bumper covers and minor trim pieces. Once I pull the drive line the carcass will be going to Illinois. I shattered a vent window trying to remove it they are NOT easy. I ever buy another car to part out I will be sure and sell the main portion LAST. Less rush to pull it apart that way. | |
