Fender bolts and speed nuts Empty
PostSubject: Fender bolts and speed nuts   Fender bolts and speed nuts Icon_minitimeTue Nov 21, 2023 8:45 am

I am planning to remove the front passenger fender in April

Any tips on where to buy
The correct bolt and speed nut for it?

Also
I assume this is a straight bolt
On and off matter?

Any tips welcome

You must remove the battery tray to get to the front fender bolts. There are two bolts at the front door, and one under the bottom of the fender. You must remove the hood hinge from the fender, and it requires a TORX bit. Removing the chrome trim around the wheel opening may require a little flexing of the fender lip to break the screws loose. Have some shims available to align the gap at the door, and at the bottom hood strut brace area. Remember the bolt under the foam at the corner of the hood. The headlight bracket must be removed.

A good junkyard fender is your cheapest path, because you are going to paint to match. Find one from a same model car, because it has the correct holes for your trim. You can probably get the proper bolts and speed nuts at your local parts store
