I need to replace one for sure both if I can find a LED replacement bulbs for my rearview mirror. Question one, what size is that freaking screw holding the cover on? Question 2, what is the bulb ID?

What bits have you tried?
I assume you have not removed a bulb to see if you can compare it to another known type.

I don't have any torx that small. I will find one at which point I'll match as you suggest.

Got a set coming from Amazon. They will be here today along with a number of other parts. Replacing shocks now. Those upper rear shock nut/bolt arrangement is a real mother for an old guy with bad shoulders, fortunately I have 2 post lift.

A lift would be nice, but ceiling too low here Sad

I did mine off the floor the first time at age 65 and it does suck. Before putting the new ones in I made a crossbar for the two mounting bolts to tie them together and make them unturnable. Basically a short bar with two holes in and bolts through it with heads welded to it.

Easy, peasy to go back in or take out now, just spin on and tighten the nuts. I changed the shocks again to Bilsteins a few years later and took them out again a couple of years ago when I pulled the rear axle to modify/rebuild it. I was 71 then.

Us old guys have nothing better to do than to work on our cars, or money pits.... The short bar and bolts was a great idea. My guess is I won't have to replace them in my lifetime. I put the bilsteins on the front and the Delco air shocks on the rear. Fixing a bunch of mickey mouse stuff that needs attention.

When you figure it out, please post the info and the bulb info too? My FWB and RMW rear view mirrors are both fully functional, but you never know.
