| While on a trip over the weekend (see intro:"what a ride") my cruise just randomly turned off. It didn't seem to matter whether it was trying to accelerate or slow down or whether we were just getting on the road or had been driving for hours. I'm hoping it's minor. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Other than L/R pwr window off trac (just don't use) and pwr antenna stuck up (unplugged - avoid car washes) both common this is the ONLY problem with a fantastic car. At the worst I'll just use my right foot! | |

| Could be a blown 3rd brake light bulb. Yes, seriously. | |

| Yea that bulb thing is annoying but true.
I've also found that on some cars, particularly high milers, the plastic gears which actuate the throttle cable wear and can slip. Unless you can rebuild the gear, it's swap the module time. Fortunately it's not hard. | |

| check the switches at the brake pedal,. if they are set too sensitive, a bump in the road will shake the brake pedal, causing the cruise to switch off,.

| I had that happen to me, and it was the brake switch. To remove: detach the connectors, pull out. To install: push until the body touches the brake arm, install connectors. | |
