PostSubject: Introduction from Europe   Introduction from Europe Icon_minitimeSat Sep 18, 2010 3:26 am

Hello all,
i've been looking at this forum for some time now, and i think an introduction is in place
I'm Pete, live in the Netherlands (Europe) and in longroof country we own a 93 Caprice wagon with the 350 TBI engine and a 87 Olds Custom Cruiser (with the very slow 307).
We bought the Olds in 1996 but in 2003 we got a new trailer and the Olds was not strong enough to pull it. So we stumbled upon our 93 Cappie wagon. It has the leather interior option, 132K on the clock (we bought it with 70K) and i'm still in love with that wagon. Mods performed include Borla high flow cat, custom 2,5 inch single exhaust, upper and lower contol arms from UMI, Hotchkiss front and rear sway bars, monroe air shocks in the rear and Koni's in front. Tire size is still 225/ 75/ 15.
Looking forward to learn a lot from you guys....(never to old to learn, my father always said)

Nice cars Pete! I really like the Custom Cruiser. Reminds me of my old '89 Cruiser. The 307 was gutless but MAN what a reliable car. Wish I'd never sold it.

It's really neat to see those cars over there in The Netherlands. My brother went to school in London and married a girl from Sweden, and he was always sending me pics of American cars over there. Neat to see them running around Europe, bet they get tons of attention! I was shocked at how many American car clubs there were in Sweden. Are there a lot where you live?

I've got pics of my 89 Cruiser in the General Wagon Discussion area under my last wagon project. Take a look if you'd like. I really miss that car. Another one that got away.

Hope you keep posting! Great pics!

-Mike
