I bought (2)!!! This is a full cat back system from Thorley. I spoke to the seller and got a little better deal on two. It is cheap enough to justify re-doing the tails by someone local. Mine will ship on Monday.

Hope this is for the LT1 cars. I saw "94 Impala" and just figured it was LT1 cars. I emailed the guy asking...

Looks like it should work just fine on an LT1. The intermediate pipes look just like the Dynomax pipes I put on my wagon.

Great score.

I don't really care. It was a good deal, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Got my kits..... Looks right to me. Will post pics when I get it mounted. maybe tomorrow I can mount the front half. The first pipe goes into the muffler, the muffler has a welded OTA pipe and dumps straight down. Maybe I can try it like this until I get the rears modded for the wagon. Decisions Decisions!!!!

Debating powder coating the entire cat back. Got a quote for $100.... Not bad!!! Would be a textured black or grey. Thinking about it.........

I would if it's high-temp powder. It might make it last a few more years.

OK. They system is "fully" installed.

Before everyone goes off on the pictures (negatively). I screwed up. I had the wrong pipes powder coated!!! So I had to butcher the drivers side intermediate. Put it back together and then butcher the cat!!! I was in a hurry and needed to drive 8 hours so I was very pressed for time. Trying to build a daily driver has its moments.

So I installed the intermediate pipes and the mufflers. Dumped it out just behind the axle and drove it for the week. Harrisburg PA, Huntington WV, Harrisburg, Scranton, Harrisburg, about 800 miles. She was a little loud, but I knew the tailpipes would quiet her down.

Last night I dropped it at a shop to fab up the tail pipes. Took my Doug Thorley 2.5" sedan tails and cut and welded them into this..............
















Almost to quiet, but removing the cats with the Tri-Y headers will cure that!! I will go back and replace the one intermediate pipe when/if I change the headers. Will have the tails powder coated to match the rest when I get the chance.

Aren't you afraid of doing heat damage to your Airlifts? The instructions told me to install heat shields where the exhaust pipes were too close to the Airlifts.

My heat shields fell off a long time ago. No damage as of yet. This larger 2.5" system seems to shed stay cooler than the stockers. Not to worried, I guess...........

I thought you had the system powder coated? Looks like someone used a spray bomb.

Looks really good though, can't wait to hear it.
