| i bought a edge 2800 converter and tci fly wheel from a guy over on the impala forum. my freind gave me a hand and the use of his lift tonight to put it in. everything went great it took about 2 1/2 hrs. also put new rear main seal in it had a tiny leak. it was only 2yrs old hope this last longer. leaks drive me crazy. i regret not putting a tach in a head of time so i could see the difference driving around. it really feels different. pulls real hard. it does sound like i am spinning more rpms when driving around. the idle seems a little lower when it is in gear does anyone know if that is common or is it just in my head? do you have to have computer adjusted ? | |

| create a signature with your car make, model & year and other mods. Did you remove the checkball while doing the install ? A tune isn't compulsory but does help significantly with the TC. | |

| Since you already have a tune, I would wait until you get your 3.73s for the retune to save money. You`ll want to ensure your tuner knows you do NOT want to lock-up the TCC at WOT in your performance tune. As an aside, did you do upg valvesprings when you did the rockers ?
If you get the 3.73 gears done before WF, you can request your re-tune via email. It's considerably cheaper. I can upload your tune to your ecm for free at WF.
Since you have a 94, which doesn't have PWM don't worry about the input shaft checkball. IF you ever have the TC off in the future, you can remove it, but don't go out of your way. | |
