| I have heard of it, but it is difficult to get into the "nooks and crannies" of the cowl. For black trim, I use Bumper Magic from Auto Magic. Works like a charm and holds for about 60-90 days, BUT it is NASTY to work with as it is thick, greasy, and slimy. | |

| Whats wrong with "Forever Black"as it covers great and last too.Mike you have been a busy boy and the wagon shows its.Makes those front fender liners look kind of chalky though. Your tires look a little faded too but maybe its that old camera.Congrats on getting that tailgate hinge done as thats the big pain in the butt.Good thing your Dad felt like sitting after all the Fajitas.Great pics as always Mike and the wagon is like new and thats a fact.Take it easy for the last few hours of your holiday as you earned it big time. | did any lint or fuzz get in the paint from the blankets?
Nick, not red, he should have used some of that dark burgundy colour he used on his door panel to kinda tie the interior with the exterior a bit more.
The cowl painted to match the dash might look cool!

| Thanks for the compliments and motivation gang. Planning to detail the car later in the week before going to Dallas for the big Cars and Coffee event next weekend. I'll get the wheels and tires looking better for sure. The cowl actually does not look so faded in person, the flash on my camera makes it stand out. The wipers on the other hand were looking pretty bad....glad that chore is over. There are supposed to be 1400+ cars and the Dallas Cars and Coffee event this Saturday....I may have to buy a new memory card for my camera..... -Mike Oh and what should I have painted red???? | |

The cowl painted to match the dash might look cool! Considering I was painting over gravel and it was windy as anything today the lint from the blanket didn't concern me to much. I painted the bumpers with flexible bumper paint, and the wiper arms with Satin Black. Not to sure about the red accent idea... My goal with this car is to make it look like something GM might have built at the factory...GS emblems and SS wheels and all.... Think the maroon trim might be pushing it. -Mike
