Adhesive for patching woodgrain Empty
PostSubject: Adhesive for patching woodgrain   Adhesive for patching woodgrain Icon_minitimeThu Aug 18, 2011 2:39 am

Hi all-

Finally found a Roady wagon in a wrecking yard and striped it for needed parts. I also took out two large sections of the woodgrain vinyl to patch two bad spots on my tailgate. Prior owner had a bicycle holder in the hitch and the handle bars from the bikes took a couple notches out of the woodgrain vinyl.

So, any advice what type of adhesive to use to keep this on a great long time? I will cut the patches in like doing wood vener work so I am confident I will get a fairly unnoticeable patch, but I am concerned over what type of exterior adhesive to use that would be proper for this type of application.

Anyone do this patch before or have a recommendation for the adhesive?
