| It started somewhere around 10 am in Lewisberry Still not a lot as of noon As Mike said earlier there were still a lot of leaves on the trees I went out every few hours and knocked the snow off all that I could to keep them from breaking or up rooting. Most of my trees are under 25' so I could make a difference. Many around my area were not that lucky. So after the power goes out one must still eat!! Started to get pretty deep before it was over. I would guess we got 7-10". So what do rednecks do when the power is out and they get board!!! Lunch was a little easier today and must less ash in the soup. Spaghetti for dinner!!!! The house looks like a job site with 3 or 4 extension cords running in a window from the generator. I hope this does not last long. I am beginning to smell bad, well worse than usual. | |

| Haven't had a hurricane in 7 years.
I'll pass with that snow. LOL
Losing power definitely does suck though. Still don't have it? |

That will be enough of that. That is a flagrant violation of the North South communications act of 2004. And I quote "Those in the southern most parts of the united states must not speak of the weather from October 1st until June 1st to those above the Maxon Dixon line." Or something like that!!

| OOOH a little snow fell! What a bunch of Pussies! Blizzard of 1977 Buffalo NY, just about anywhere, although this one is from Sheridan Drive at the Main-Transit Volunteer Fire Dept, across from the Buffalo Country Club golf course. This photo widely was publicized in many newspapers. This particular clipping was taken from a report in a Watertown NY paper. ,

| I remember that storm of '77.
Had to exit the house out of my bedroom window.... on the second floor!
Dad had us kids gather up all of the pots and pans, ran the hot water in the shower, then opened the front door and we proceeded to dig our way out of the house by bucket brigade moving the snow from the door to the tub. Took us most of the day. Snowmobiles were the ONLY mode of transportation for the better part of the week. If I remember right, it wasn't cold, just LOTS of snow.

| I can remember 77. My first year with a Snowmobile!!! That was a great investment at that time. Every time the roads were closed we could legally ride on the roads.... WOOT!!! that was fun. | |

Been there done that. Unfortunately PPL is NOT RG&E. PPL Stinks and I lose power every time a mule breaks wind between me and a local town 6 miles away. We are the last houses on this run and they DO NOT believe in trimming trees.
