| Just had a brainstorm for running those Summit shorty headers. Now I don't know the length of them compared to the stock exhaust manifolds. But perhaps one could make the stock Y pipe work. Also, found this on Rockauto's site: | |

Getting ready to start piecing together a new exhaust setup, anyone ever use the shorty summit headers above? What should I use for a Y pipe since I don't plan on swapping the cross member? Also, this may be a very stupid question, but do headers kill mpg's? I somehow squeeze decent miles out of the car, would rather not ruin that now that we're pushing $3.50/gal again... try a search on a 96 caprice 4.3 lt1 not 5.7 ,4.3 .I had one which came with single to dual, that y pipe might work with fewer modification. | |

| Noel.Justin may be unable to answer you for awhile.Whenever he has a brainstorm he collapses into a lump for about an hour! |
