| Hi All! I (like apparently all of you!) love the look of these B body wagons from the 90's. I had it in my mind for about 5 years that one of these wagons would make a great foundation for a hot rod. In '08 I was driving down the road and spotted an Olds CC for sale. I stopped to look it over, wrote down the phone number, then hastened away as fast as I could! The car was extremely clean! Black w/tan leather. I went out of town on business and hoped it would be sold before I returned home! The last thing I needed was another car! Well, I called when I got home and it was still for sale. We met in the Walmart parking lot and I took a test drive. I was hooked! It was a 1 owner car. They had purchased the car in Memphis (it was a PGA courtesy car for the St. Jude Classic). It had every option I could think of and the MSRP was over $26K! Raising 5 kids had taken its' toll on the back seat but everything worked great. It was a 5.7l motor. I had met a guy that I thought would be good for a build. When I told him I wanted to rebuild the motor or replace with a small block crate motor he just shook his head and said, "This ride NEEDS a big block!". So began a 3 yr. build! I wanted "everything" either rebuilt or replaced. I wanted a ride that would not only GO, but STOP and CORNER too! I purchased a new 502 Ram Jet crate motor. The rest of the build included the following: Completely rebuilt suspension w/polyurethane bushings, Bilstein shocks , Eibach springs and sway bars. Baer 4 whl. discs. Torque Thrust ll's (17's in the front and 18's (x9.5!) in the rear. The body was shaved of all emblems and cladding. new front urethane bumper and rear roll pan. Sanderson fabbed the custom ceramic coated headers. I reupholstered the leather seats in tan with black piping. A 4" steel cowl was grafted to the hood. A killer Alpine stereo system was added(w/ 2-12" woofers). Windows were blacked out w/limo tint. New black paint with metalflake silver 442 style hood stripes. I've left out a lot of detail, but you get the picture(no pun intended)! So now I have a "542" wagon! 502 cu. in., 4 speed automatic, 2 exhausts! It's all I imagined! I will post pics as soon as I can figure out how. |

| posting pics is easy. get a photobucket.com acct (free), and then just use the img tags and viola you are posting pics. I believe there is a write up here on the forum on how to do as well.
A factory black OCC is a rare bird, can't wait to see pics! | |

| Were picture whores if you haven't figured that out. Post them in a timely manner OR let the anticipation build. We won't get nasty,.... but it may seem like it though, cause words don't truly express what is written. And Welcome aboard. | |
