| he did.
I gave him the paint code and he mixed the toners himself (lighter and dirtier than stock new paint) and it came out almost perfect. He then mixed the clear...... I had to complete the clear as he still has "issues" with the term "wet coat", he still moves too fast and lays it on dry.
Next is bumper welding and headlight restoration.
I will post up the after pics in the morning, as you can see in the pics above, the sun was setting.

| I have a PC random orbiter,a harbor freight rotary and about 20 lake country pads of different densitys and every Mequiars polish/wax made. That sander scares the crap out of me everytime I see someone touch a paintjob with one.Your post has helped eleviate a lot of that hesitation. How about some final result pics please! Jim |

| Finished product: Not perfect as the color is a shade lighter than the rest of the car, but I am happy with his first attempt. | |

| I use the BASF Onyx waterborne paints/toners mixed to the paint code of the car by using the BASF color retrieval software.
Gun is the Iwata LPH 80 with a #12 tip and a 6oz cup.
Color changes with pressure..... lower pressure = darker color, so I start at 20psi and adjust pressure to change the tone to match. I have sprayed everywhere from 10-30psi.
Second gun is for clear only and is sprayed at 25-30psi
I have a 20gal compressor set at 150psi (to increase working time)
