Z28 Gauges with PRNDL just hit the front porch

Still having a hard time finding the PRNDL on your cluster.

All I can see is a PRNod321.

I think what scott aka flash gumby did with his cluster conversion on the daddy wagon to be the cat's ass!

Here is the first one ever made, the one all of the others are based off of:




The needles just pull off, no need to pry with a screw driver. I hated the orange so I pulled them off, wiped with brake cleaner, and put back on.

I just figured I'd add here that you can substitute #168 bulbs for #194 bulbs where you want more brightness.

Yep did that mod and it helped a lot.

Do your gauges light up green?? Looking at the pics above. That's my one complaint, my cluster is white, does not match the dash at night.

So the 168's are brighter?

It's a great mod overall, and I like it a TON better than the stock gauges. I've actually gotten used to the gauges being white...the PRNDL is green so it somewhat ties in with the rest of the dash.

Only issues I still have are the fact that the odometer does not line up well with the opening, and the block off for a round light under the speedo slid down a bit, so with the headlights on, I have a little sliver-moon of light there. Need to pull the cluster to fix that but have not torn back into the dash.

You do have to cut a lot of the inner dash to make this fit well, and I have a rattle in there now that comes an goes. Think it's a cable jiggling around, or the cluster itself rubbing on the dash in there. When I pull the cluster again I'll go nuts with zip-ties and add some tape where things touch.

Have just over 5K miles on the new cluster now.
