| I mean, I know what 6 way functions are. Add a power 'forward and back' for the seatback; that's 8 way. Add a power lumbar; that's 10 way. What are the 11th & 12th ways? | |

| The 12 ways blow up aig bags in different places around your body to support you better. Lumbar, "love Handles", not sure where exactly else. Maybe upper back on the sides (bolsters). | |

| If you're talking about power 12 ways seats, that's what my step-Dad's '96 RMW LTD has. Here's my best guess as to what the 12 ways are: 1.) forward 2.) back 3.) up 4.) down 5.) bottom cushion front tilt down 6.) bottom cushion front tilt up 7.) bottom cushion rear tilt down 8.) bottom cushion rear tilt up 9.) recline forward 10.) recline back 11.) lumbar support in 12.) lumbar support out | |

Nine through twelve are the same things I guessed. We still have another function.

The owners manual lists each function separately, so count them up and standard seats have 8-ways, LTD seats have 12.

| The Bonneville seats have an air compressor in them (drivers seat) and it is piped to the passenger seat. Along with the standard stuff they allow you to blow up bags in different areas of the seats to custom support your back. | |

| I,ve got the 12 ways in the correct light grey in my 95 9c1 that has a full 96 impala ss interior in it,.i,d be glad to trade out of them,. they are a pita to get in and out of,seems i have to lift up and over the side bolsters like a race seat, but aggrrravating for a daily driver,..and all the fancy puffer doodads i never use them,. IF the car gets converted to a track only car, then i,d consider keeping them,.

| Hmmmm.... I see what you mean Jimbeau. I just looked at RPO codes. They list the standard seat as "6-way" even though it actually goes 8 ways, and they also list the Limited's seats as "6-way" even though it goes 12 ways! I don't understand that at all... I sure am confused now... | |
