I expect that I'll get chided for not searching the webnet, which is fine.
Anyone know the difference in offset between the Astro/Safari rims and ours?
Bewber brought along a pair of Astro rims to put on Pat's ragwagon so it would
sneak in between the sides of his tow dolly... Hence, my query.

Interesting. I assumed they had the same offset, but of course Bewbs proves it wrong.
I've seen 'em and the 1500 rims (stars) also and they 'look' stock with their fitmet. I have to guess it's subtle.

I believe the offset for the stock rims is -6, so that would make them the same except for width. The width would make the tire sidewall tuck in a little, and consequently it would be about a half inch narrowerer at the sidewall.

That could be it. The car barely squeezed on there WITH the Astro rims.
I mean, soap was used to keep the tire sidewalls from harm.

I wonder if it would have fit better if the rims were put on backwards?

That question was asked after it was already cinched on the dolly, and Pat's bumper cover was ruined from backing it off once.
