air shocks? Empty
PostSubject: air shocks?   air shocks? Icon_minitimeSun Apr 08, 2012 12:16 pm

i want to use my 91 wagon to tow my boat this summer. p0roblem is is that the hitch sits way too low. like 8-10 inches of clearance from the road when towing. i dont think the wagon was lowered when i got it. anyone ever put air shocks on their wagon? im curious about how much height ill gain from using them. any ideas?

AirLift 1000 rear leveling air springs are what people generally put in these cars for towing and such. They come with a lifetime warranty, and are apparently a very good product.

I use the word apparently because I have these in my wagon, but for whatever reason, when I bought the car, the system was not in working order. I don't know what the PO did to them to keep them from working like they did, but my airlines look broken, the wiring looks shot, and the bags themselves look like they could use replacing. I am going to try and get in contact with the AirLift company to see if I can get replacements from the lifetime warranty they offer, although the warranty apparently only extends to the original purchaser.

From what I've heard, if you keep them in good condition, you will have a good experience.
