| I have an 1989 454 TBI Big Block Chevy sitting in this truck I have. I was thinking I should put that in my ride over the winter. What do you think? Wish I had this intake. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| The other forum also has more members who've made such a change before as well. It would be a good source of info and ideas.
Gather as much info from as many sources as you can before hand.
Did you check Youtube for possible videos? | |

| You don't need to go expensive. I (and Nick) have been in a wagon that had a 454 dropped in. Stock engine mounts. Used the stock trans from the wagon. Mid-70s Monte Carlo headers. Stock wagon wiring, with the computer from the truck. Some sensor wiring had to be extended for the big block. Ran nice, but was probably slower than an LT1 car. I'd still do it if I had a nice TBI car and an FI BB kicking around. | |

| Yeah the only reason I want to do it is for the sound. And I want to keep it as simple as possible. And the shock and ahh moment when people look under the hood. | |

- Paging "Grumpy"....
On a bad day, that could be any one of us. My grandmother's dog was named "Useless". She lived in a seniors trailer park. When she'd stick her head out the door to call the dog and yell "Hey Useless", half the men in the park would look up and ask "what?"

Cant imagine anyone calling you but the inflateable love doll company wanting you to explain the tiny little prick marks covering the doll you returned! |

| That sounds like Snow White's autopsy. She was still a virgin, but there were seven little dents in there... | |

| That picture. . . is that really a TBI setup? I'm thinking about just swapping my choked up swirl port heads for some L31's, and all the amenities to make it work. Was thinking I would keep the TBI setup just use injectors from a 454 TBI and an adjustable fuel pressure system. I've been researching this for some time. I don't have all the information for my setup yet but I'm getting there. I really like the information from third gen about a budget build tbi with vortec heads. It even included the tuning info too. That's really what has me hesitant about pulling the trigger on this issue. But I'm sure I'll figure it out when the time comes. If not I can always try to pay some one to do it. Right? | |
