| i was trying to get some stuff done for wf and i worked sat. so i was at it all day today and was doing good till i tried to polish my new to me rear window without defrost. i had it tinted last week and thought i would use the eastwood kit for removing scratches left from the wiper it turned into a disaster. i got most of the wiper marks off then i left scratches all down the one side i tried to get rid of them with no luck and now i am out of the compond that east wood gives you in the kit. does anyone have any info where to get more compond besides eastwood they just have it with the kit. or does anyone have advise or can someone going to wf fix my screw up thanks john | |

| I don't have a DA, would it be possible to use the 105 by hand? Or would it just take forever and a day? |

| forever and a week!!
If you have a corded drill......
Go to walmart and get the headlight kit and use the pads in there. Not as good, but cheap.
or order the LC pads and a drill adapter. This will effectively be a high speed rotary buffer instead of a DA.

| No corded drill, but the cordless is pretty stout... |

| that would be great! the funny part is that the wiper marks are real faded but i did something on the drivers side of the rear glass. i thought maybe i got the polisher to go at a wierd angle and caused the problem that way. i should have just used the polisher not the cut disk they give you | |

| DO NOT SAND THE GLASS!!!!
It WILL scratch!
you can also do a SMALL amount of rubbing compound (red can) with a rag. Basically, compound is like liquid sandpaper. you need a soft applicator.

| Need to try this. Cutlass has overspray on it from the body shop next to my friend's business. It's very light, but it's there. Good thread, thanks all. | |

| Mike, for overspray, clay would be better. | |

| How much is replacement glass? Some of mine has stuff carved (keyed) in it from the prior owners kids... and I guess there is no buffing that out... | |

| Depending on how bad it is, you can go to a glass shop like safelite and see if they can fill it in with the resin. that's what I do..... | |

| You have to locate any of the wagon rear glass in a junkyard. When Roo broke his tailgate glass a year ago, he was quoted around 500 from a glass shop. I pay around 20-25 bucks at the JY, but they are getting harder to find | |
