I am about to change the PS hose on a L03
It appears to be pretty straightforward, but wanted to know if there were any sage advice out there like take the thingamajig off and it makes the job so much easier.

That is if it ever stops raining. Guy down the street has all these animals and is building a canoe in his front yard....

You have nothing to worry about until or if he starts building an ark. Then I'd suggest caulking your wagon solid and getting it ready to float. Maybe put a snorkel and a propeller on it.

lol!

It's been raining like that here today...on and off.

Remove the fittings on the gearbox from the wheelhouse side. You can get a wrench in the gap. It is pretty tight for the fitting at the pump.

My leak was with my high pressure hose, apparently coming from where the metal part of the hose connects to the rubber part. It started out as a small leak then turned into a nice steady spurt that completely drained the fluid withing seconds. It was the high pressure hose and I was told I should also replace the pressure regulator. I simply swapped the regulator from the old leaking hose to the new one, and it's still working fine. I guess time will only tell if the regulator is what caused the hose to leak eh? As I recall getting the hose reattached/routed took some Tetris skills but wasn't to hard. Just odd angles/bending to get the attachment points lined up again.

Nope. Not hard at all. I did Grimace's hoses in the driveway. You need a 16mm and an 18mm wrench. I used an adjustable to get the sensor off.

No biggie.

Good advice if removing both hoses. I was only doing the high pressure side, so the low pressure hose was blocking.

Took Pat's advice and cut the old hose off so I could go at easier. Also when breaking the nut loose on the pump side, it didn't loosen, the larger one did which forced me to cut the hose.

New part seemed wrong when I looked at it, put when done it fits better. I did violate the directions and bent the tubes slightly for a better fit (nice when you have a tubing bender)

Too greasy to take pics....
