Grrrrr....what an unfortunate thing to have happen. Yeah, for all it's worth, I would leave a note. I like to see the best in people and would therefore like to be of the belief that they didn't know it happened. Yet a part of me says "that's rather hard to believe". If they're decent at all, I'd hope they would at least apologize.

This is exactly why I'm nervous about just taking my wagon out for a drive and enjoying it. It's also why I park as far away as possible from anyone else...though knowing my luck someone will think the same, park near me and then ding the car. Which in the grand scheme of things is pretty small potatoes, but it's still annoying.

Oh yeah...I almost forgot! Can you rent some large construction machinery, say maybe one of those trucks you see in stone quarries and, I don't know, inadventently back over their whole car or truck? Be aware that this may start a war of attrition and you may well want to leave the wagon home for a few months, or even hide it somewhere.

There was no car next to me when I came out of the office. Whoever was next to me left for lunch and did it then I'm sure. It was a Honda Accord...but I didn't pay attention to specifics and there are 3000 Hondas in the parking lot.....have no idea who it was.

I'm going to run by the paintless dent place this weekend. This car had NO dents in it, none, but I guess if it's going to be my daily driver...and family car, it's gonna happen. Hopefully the dent place can fix it cheap.

First dent....took just over one week.

People tend to park in the same spot on a regular basis. It is an ownership thing, like people in church like to sit in the same pew, and are put off when somenoe else sits in "their" spot. I would watch who parks there, and compare the mark with their door/fender.

Pretty sure Dell has a camera watching everything and that includes the parking lot and the MORON that parked beside you!

Most likely they do, but this place is HUGE. I'm in building 8, if that gives you any idea how large the campus is...

I'm going to a paintless dent place a friend told me about after getting the windows tinted Saturday morning. We'll see..

Know how you feel. I've had mine a few months and already been drove into TWICE!! Once by some stupid kid, and the second time by my WIFE!!!

Luckily, both times were minor damage.....my wifes minivan's caved rear quarter looks MUCH worse for wear than my car's lightly scratched mirror!!

Both times I had to watch it happen.....makes you feel so helpless, ya know?

Ouch and yes.

I bought my OCC to use as my daily driver. To commute in, haul kids and dogs and tow the boat and my bike trailers. It sits in the work parking lot all day and lives outside, under the shade tree, but still, outside. I'm trying to be a realist....it's going to get dings here and there....

That said, each new blemish still hurts to find.....you see a new one when after washing the car when drying it off...

Mike,while its obvious that few of your coworkers will ever share the affection that you have for your vehicles and the sooner you understand that the better.Is it possible for you to park well away from the careless morons that need to park up front due to their lazy oversized asses of which I am a card carrying member?The farther out you park the more likely you will encounter a like-minded car lover.Just a thought and something I have always done with my cars although thats not foolproof due to the complete asses that go out of their way to damage other peoples cars just because they enjoy being mean and cowardly!Because of these peoples total lack of respect for others is why I use to always carry a aerosol can of paint stripper just to make my point.If this sounds like I am overeacting so be it but I always signed my name to my work usually just my initals sprayed into the trunk lid.Crude but effective but you must always check for security cameras.
