| I have oil pressure on my 93 but the dam idiot light stays on, and it's annoying. Where is the sending unit for the light? | |

| The sender is above the oil filter on the TBIs. I don't recall my 91 having a light for oil pressure, just the gauge. If its the low oil level light that one is on the pan. | |

| Jarrod, my 92 used to do the same thing. It would go off if I cycled the key. | |

| Ok my oil level is fine and my oil pressure is 40 psi. It's just the dam light on the climate control panel.
Jay how do you cycle the ignition key.

| Turn car off, turn car on. It always worked for me. I would do it while driving... I hated seeing the light.
On yours if it stays on all the time, this probably won't work. Mine was intermittent.

| The sender is the same part as the pressure sender on the block above and behind the oil filter. The sender is easy to replace and not too expensive. I believe it has a switch as well as the rehostat for pressure variation. | |

| Wait a minute guys. He said the light on the climate control. This is the low oil sender. Jarrod the sender for this is located in the side of the oil pan. If you want to loose the light and your sure the oil level is fine, then just unplug it. Don't know how much a new sender is, but you can wait till the next oil change to replace it.

| My low oil light is in my instrument cluster on my OCC. If the low oil light is in the CC, then the sender is on the driver's side of the oil pan. | |

| 93 TBI wagon
Two different sensors, two different places, but usually part of the same wiring harness group. Both located on the driver's side, one is pressure, located above the oil filter, the other is low level out of the side of the pan
My harness went over the back of the bell housing and split into sub harnesses to go back to the tranny and forward to the sensors, also had the O2 sensor wire in the harness as well.
The pressure sensor is a bit of a pain in the butt to change due to location behind the exhaust manifolds, but the pressure sensor is easier to get to.

| I want to know if that works for you.On my OCC the oil pressure gauge stays pegged except when hot and in drive idling. Then the gauge will drop to its normal position. As soon as I touch the gas the gauge jumps over to a completely horizontal position. Jim |

| Yea ,I bought a new switch and it cost me 45 bucks.I think its located directly above the oil filter. The sensor is identical to another one on the oil pan.Next oil change, its going on along with a bunch of other things. Jim |

Jim My '92 did the same thing, changed the sending unit and all is good now. I got the 16 buck Airtex unit, probably make them for Delco.

| I need to correct what I said about the sensors being identical. They look identical externally but are completely different and not interchangable. The pressure switch is 3 times more money,at least mine was. Jim |
