Road trip to Vegas Empty
PostSubject: Road trip to Vegas   Road trip to Vegas Icon_minitimeTue Nov 11, 2008 9:43 am

Making another low flying road trip to Vegas and back next weekend. Going out to see TSO and family. Now that gas prices have fallen a bit I can open up the wagon a little more and not worry about wasting fuel as much. Love to let it breath on the freeway. Still only takes 3 tanks for a 1200 mile round trip. This also depends on weather this time of year. Don't want snow in Flagstaff!!

Uneventful run. Wagon ran like a fine watch. Laughing Gas prices along the freeway were a suprise also. Never paid more then $2.59 for preminum. Keep the cruise set on 85mph on I-40 all the way but got a front door from Kingman to Vegas and got to run that 100 miles at 90+. sunny Averaged for the trip 23.6mpg cheers

Nothing like opening up and letting her run! I used to run my car right to the edge of the speed limiter on the autobahn all the time. It is amazing how stable these cars are at 100mph!
