Cars and Coffee Austin this weekend! Edit- Pics Added 11/5

My friend Rich is driving my old '96 Roadmaster wagon down from Fredericksburg and I'm going in my '92 Custom Cruiser. Planning to have the wagons side-by-side for the show this weekend!

Jim the problem is it's my cell phone camera, which is why most of my pics are so crummy!!

Oh, so first off, I screwed up again. I did not realize it but I had my camera still set on the NIGHT setting, so all these pics make you want to wear sunglasses. If you have a brain aneurism or something while looking at these....I'm sorry.

My friends Rich and Robbi drove out from Fredericksburg in my (it will always still be mine in my brain) '96 Roady wagon. Got some good pics of the Roady and Cruiser sie-by-side down at the bottom here.

Took all five kids with me to the show in the Olds wagon, and parked between a certain well-known and gorgeous 63 Caddy and a sharp Regal T-Type





Good crowd, it was in the upper 70's but almost no humidity. Great day for a car show...too bad the pics look like this!!

And yes, Rich and Robbi showed up with my Roadmaster. I pulled my Custom Cruiser over to steal some of his limelight.. NOBODY looked at my Olds, everyone looked at the Roady. I wish he'd have closed the hood and given me a chance for SOME attention! You know, make it fair!! Hahahaha!

The kids made me feel SO BAD! Eddie and Lily made a point of telling me how much cooler my Roady was. Joseph said HOOW COULD YOU HAVE SOLD THIS FOR THAT. Arrgghh!! Kids are mean, I think the Olds looked really good!!!




Had a really nice visit with Rich and Robbi. They both still love the Roady, and are taking care of it. It's their trip car. After Cars and Coffee, they were going to go try out the new 85mph highway from Austin to San Antonio. I've yet to drive it. Bet that was fun in the Roady!

Oh and after we were talking a while Rich turned around to show me his t-shirt. Can you believe this???


At least I know it really went to a good home!!

At first I thought that brown car was a Sabra (Isralei sports car), then a Puma (Brazillian), but negative on both. I know I've seen one before but can't put a finger on it...

All that's missing from those pics is the Zombies...

My favs were the 50s Skylark (would love to see that in person) and the General Lee!!!

I guess Im used to seeing an OCC...but Id pick the styling of it over the RMW. Yours really looks sharp.

Wow, that's quite a show. My favorite also is the 54 Skylark convertible. That is pristine. Now for the opposite side of the spectrum, I like the rat rod older dodge 4 door pickup.

There's at least one vote for your Olds Custom Cruiser coming from me. I like the woodless sides better and, well, it's an Oldsmobile...much rarer than any of the others!
