| Does anyone restore the plastic center caps used on most '91-'95 Roadmasters? The fake metal is peeling on all eight of mine on my '93 and '95.
Also, has anyone had success in restoring the aluminum wheels after the clearcoat begins to flake off and the aluminum discolors? I'm sure removal of all the clearcoat would be necessary along with machining or polishing to repair the aluminum--then repainting inside the spokes and clearcoating the wheels.
They don't survive well in Wisconsin!!

| Many have stripped and polished the Impala SS wheels and re-coated them. I have never seen someone do a Roadmaster wheel. A few years ago I had a wheel-right cut the front off of one and refinish the front and made it into a clock as a give for Fred Lesinski. It was not cheap to have done and he did not re-do the center cap. I believe it was about $230 all in.
You are much better off getting a nice set and taking them off for the winter. Or get a set of aftermarkets that you like. I run Impala SS wheels for 3 seasons and truck ralleys with snows for the winter.

| There's a guy who has (or atleast he had) boxes of the 95 / 96 center caps. He may just have the acrylic outer piece that is glued on to the piece that snaps into the wheel. His forum name is "Robert96".
